Moe finds that having Farley around has advantages.  For one, Farley has a very nice bed.  Moe lets Farley sleep on it for a while, and then when it’s nice and warm, Moe goes over and bites Farley on the butt and gets him to move.  Now Moe has a nice warm place to take a nap.

Moe has discovered the clothes dryer. 
 
He thinks it’s like going to the spa.  It’s warm and it vibrates.

Moe’s been a little frustrated lately. 
He hasn’t been getting as many walks as he likes.  

Two reasons:  1/ that darn
dog Farley needs to walk more than Moe.  2/ it’s been too hot.  Moe’s
been going nuts watching the bird feeder on the patio, playing with the world’s greatest cat toy ( a white plastic bottle cap ), and sleeping in Farley’s bed. He still finds time to turn
the lights on and off, and open closed doors.  Moe’s looking forward to cooler
  weather.

Moe has been driving us nust lately.  He's been turning lights on and off and opening doors.  He wants out constantly.  Taking him for walks on his leash helps, but he wants out again as soon as we get home.  He has opened the patio sliding door twice in the last week for an unathorized walk.  Last time we found him in some thorn bushes by the stream behind our condo.  It took awhile to coach him to come out.

Moe is being Moe.

Moe has really been bugging us to get out and enjoy spring.  He doesn't get as many walks since Farley joined the family.  As you can see by the picture, Moe enjoys spring flowers.

We decided to take a vacation in the Smokey Mountains.  Deciding to put Farley in a kennel was an easy dicision.  We thought about leaving Moe at home alone with somebody coming in the feed him once a day.  After thinking about it, we thought Moe would go nuttier than usual if he spent that much time alone.  So Moe went off the Kitty Kamp (the kennel) for a week.  He was not a happy camper when we returned.  Moe has a temper and he was mad.  After two days he's starting to come around.  I bought him a new toy in Pigeon Forge, Tennesse, and it's the first toy i've bought Moe that he actualy is likes.  He usually just ingnores store bought toys, he favors his plastic bottle cap.  If you get down to Pigeon Forge, you should visit the Smoky Mountain Cat House.  They have everything about and for cats, and several resident cats.  www.smokymountaincathouse.com

As you can see by the picture - Moe is enjoying his new toy.

This warm weather is driving Moe nuttier than usual.  He keeps howling at the door to get out.  He has been playing with his bottle cap a lot and keeps knocking it under the grandfather clock, and has a fit until I get a yardstick and knock it out for him.  He hasn't been getting as many walks on his leash because of Farley.  They have been getting alongh great.  Moe keeps batting at Farley, but Farley won't chase him.  I think Moe is dissapointed at that, but I' sure Moe will keep trying.

Moe's life is getting back to normal.  Well, as much as life is nomal for moe.  He's getting more comfortable with Farley the dog being in the house.  They usually just ingnore each other, although Moe like to sneak up on Farley and tap him on the nose, and then run.  I think Moe is dissapointed the Farley doesn,t chase him.  Moe is back to playing with the worlds greatest toy - a white plastic bottle cap.  He bats it all over the house, and carries it around in his mouth.  He keep knocking it under the grandfather clock.  I saw him knock it under the clock last night, and I got a yard stick to get it out for him.  A swing of the yard stick brought out three of them.

Moe is adjusting well to Farley. 

We've adopted a two year old Chinese Shar Pei from the animal shelter.  We've named him Farley.  Moe is adapting much faster than I thought he would.  I think they will get along a lot better when we teach Farley to quit eating Moe's food.  Moe does not like an empty food dish.  I think all the hissing is over.  Moe is starting to ignore Farley, although Farley has claimed Moe's favorite spot on the couch.

Our grandson Bennett stopped by to see moe today.  Moe jumped in a box and Bennett pushed and pulled it all around the living room and foyer.  Moe seemed to enjoy the ride and somebody to play with.  I had to lift him up out of the box.  Moe thought it was a lot of fun and didn't want to quit.
