As normal as Moe gets! 07/31/2010
Moe seems to be getting back to normal. He's playing more and being more socialble. He was driving me crazy last night. While I was watching the ball game on TV, he was playing with the vertical blinds at our patio door. You have know idea how much of an irritating noise he can make rattling those blinds. So much so that I went to make sure that he wasn't destroying them, that I missed the last pitch of the game. He's sleeping in my office right now. I think he wore himself out last night. It's been over a week since Carrie died. We all miss her, especially Moe. He has been quite and moping around, and everyonce in awhile you can see him searching for Carrie. He stills plays with his favorite toy - a plastic bottle cap - but not as much as before Carrie died. He's meowing more. Before he very rarely made a sound. We will always remember Carrie, but I'm sure we will all feel better with time. Including Moe. Sad News 07/07/2010
My older cat Carrie passed away this morning. If you are following the story of Moe, you know that we had Carrie a long time before Moe came along. She was given to us over ten years ago when we lived in the country. She was about two when she came to live with us. She started as a barn cat and after about four years she got promoted to house cat. When we left the country and moved into the condo she came along. She was a very sweet cat. Never bothered anything or anybody. She loved tuna and sleeping in a sunbeam. At night, if I left my hand outside of the covers, she would rub her heard against it until I would pet her, and then she would lay there beside me and purr. She loved to sit on Sally's lap in the evenings while watching TV and purr. We noticed she wasn't feeling well yesterday afternoon and took he to the vet. He wanted to keep her overnight and run some tests. She died this morning. As close as we can guess - she was 13 or 14 years old. Moe acts like he knows something is wrong, but he hasn't started lookin for her yet. Moe will miss her and so will we. She was a good kitty. |
